*ring ring*   *ring ring* *ring ring*  hello who is on the line ? good morning sir,  my name is Miss Manners, from the Newport Folk Festival Company... good morning Miss Manners...hows it going on the east coast ?
a bit cloudy and moist but moderate temperatures..I´m calling on behalf of my client we need a new headliner for next summer, Joan Baez just suffered a nervous breakdown after browsing the internet...the doctor says it was one of those damn bloggers...what do i know what happened... anyway we´re running out of artists and wanted to ask..... Miss Manners...I have good news for you.....if you guys just take care of delta airlines I´ll make shure you´ll get the best of the last 50 yrs of folk wrapped up in a tasty menu...my band the honest lawyers are all ivy league material....guthrie, seeger hell even dylan got nothin on those guys...that sounds really neat, I am positively surprised...shall i consider you booked, then... ? hell yea... but sorry gotta hang up now,  too much workload , I´m a conspiracy hunter in the main profession, you know ? conspiracy what ? Nevermind, just consider us booked, tell the catering guys we need a big crate of milk and some hot enchiladas...and a packet of Gudang Garam... that´ll do.... no problem sir...was nice talking to you, we´ll keep you informed if theres any changes in the lineup...thanks a million, Miss Manners, it was a pleasure to talk to you...oh Mistah ALF, the pleasure was purely on my side... greetings from Newport beach... sayonara !  *click*   *tooot*   *toot*   *toot*

ok now enough of the jokes... this guitar belongs to my father, he´s had it since the 70s or early 80s... its a japanese import, cost probly between 200+500 dollars back then, and sounds pretty neat...been playing it now for quite a while...
the label says "Luxor", never heard of this brand...they sold these probly under diffrent names..
and heres my 50s fender in daphne blue...put a humbucker in, cause back at age 23 i wanted it to be like the guitar of billy joe from green day...(whom we will soon talk about in another post) the wiring was a challenge but finally got it done... have this guitar 10 yrs already and wouldnt wanna trade for any other... you can see all the poti heads and the 5-way-switch i made smaller, so you dont hit them while strumming... after those adjustments this guitars perfect...
thumbpicking aint my strong side, never really learned it, but play regular cheap black jim dunlop picks
heres my hebrew songbook, right now theres between 200 and 250 songs...the list constantly grows
i only collect those for 3 years, but play guitar for 17 yrs, so i know all the english and german classics too..
singing diffrent languages is not so terribly hard, since you dont have to speak freely, but premeditated lyrics..its great to hear diffrent ppl sing diffrent languages, gives it a new touch each time..
havent regretted a single minute i put into this songbook...
but need to back it up soon with a scanner, so they dont get lost...
songs normally outlast their writers many years...

you think i´m just a douchebag without skillz ? check out my hebrew version of this popular evergreen..
