I hate to be the one who has to tell you, son.
You have brain damage. Specifically, your fusiform gyrus incurred a ischemic stroke- this is responsible for a rare pathology related to prosopagnosia that you suffer from. You will never recover, but you can minimize the effect it has on your life. You don't strike me as the doctor-trusting type but consider this; if they wanted you dead, you wouldn't be reading this.
