His friend Taylor (Michael Biehn) invited him to a once in a lifetime chance to scale the second highest peak in the world. . His asian wife tried to warn him, she could sense he would not come back. He later almost dies in the movie. High altitude climbing is a very deadly sport, but many victims adding up to the body count on trecherous peaks like nanga parbat, K2 or Annapurna are just fake climbing alters of the usual acting royalty.
