Alex Lowe lives on as Conrad Anker. Why are they doing this ? Cause it's their job. They are actors, and create a world that you believe is real, but is in fact theatre. Creating sports icons to reach the olymp of eternal fame by dieing in their prime. Climbing and mountaineering is a dangerous sport, but when famous climbers die, you should be extra cautious. famous people have a habit of dieing that exceeds your imagination.
An Anker point on a climbing pitch is the top point, where you can either attach a rope and rappel down (abseiling), or where the lead climber that has gone ahead, securing the route by putting removable devices intot he rock, that the others that follow can use as security, to catch them when they fall.. This whole name is just a sales tag, for a climber to have a name like that would be a great coincidence.
the pics above was conrad anker, extreme mountaineer and laird hamilton, big wave surfer. looks like they're the same as well. all these fancy extreme sports are very costly, and can only be done by people with A lots of money and B that are able to take great risks while at the same time calculate that risk and turn it into world-class footage...
