before you delve into this material, i´d counsel you to read exodus chapter 14 in its entirety, to get a basic understanding what we´ll be talking about.
this is the passage right after the 10 plagues are over, and the hebrews received instructions on how to offer the passover lamb, and now they´re ready for their exodus...
the real mt. sinai on whose foot moses saw the burning bush, and 40 yrs later again received the commandments (where the people build the golden calf), was not in what today is falsely called sinai peninsula, where the st. catherines monastery and its interfaith-pilgrimage site is located, but the real place is in todays northwest saudi arabia, at a mountain called Jabal al-lawz (where they received the "lawz")...
here i´m gonna show you the real route of the exodus and the real mt. sinai. i´ve read the joseph story now probly 20 times in the last 5 years. its clear that the israelites settled in goshen, eastern part of the northern nile delta, where they prospered and multiplied 430 (or probly only 130) years. after moses had performed his 10 plagues, and pharao (who must have been a crypto-jew, as stubborn as he was...) had finally agreed to let them go, they took their carts, lifestock, wives and kids and went on their way, after the mitzrim had given them silver and gold as well, which they needed to later build the tabernacle. so they went on their way. read exodus 13+14. what i show now is all based on these passages. so they started out but didnt go straight up into the levant cause the philistines lived there, remember the sea peoples, the invaders with their feathered helmets and their bull worship, from crete. so the israelites were not a people yet, no identity, no pride, no swords of steel, a timid and weaklish people still, so the dude in the sky took them south first, along the western rim of what we call today sinai peninsula (a complete misnomer)...
he had them go down along this easy pathway, and had them set up camp once halfway at succoth...remember they had started out in all hurry, with their unleavened bread, didnt even have time to let the bread ferment with yeast... it says the pillar of cloud led them by day and a pillar of light by night. some people think that was the milky way as visible brightly in the clear cold desert night, but that just by the way...
since the egyptians wanted to drown all the firstborn babies of israel, g-d in his divine righteousness now did the same with the egyptians. thats why he set up this perfect trap for them and moshe (to pull out) had to do everything exactly as was told him.
so they put up another camp at pi-hahiroth (mouth of freedom) and then saw the egyptians pursuing them. probably the egyptian border outpost at migdol had sent flying pigeons with messages back to the palace to tell what was going on. then pharao took his 600 chosen charioteers and army and pursued to get his "labor slaves back"... this pharao was probly full of it, if even his magicians could throw sticks on the ground and they became snakes, and he knew all the mundane and esoteric science and astrology and many more things, and ruled over millions of people in the worlds hegemonial power, he probly thought these hebrews were just like all other slave nations...imagine prez obama being visited by some random pigmy from kongo, trying to lecture him what to do. Obama would think the guy is nuts ! little did pa-ro know even the very language he spoke was a corruption of hebrew and all that he had gained during his reign of power was not really his own... so he had a completely wrong attitude... it also must be noted here, that oftentimes in ALL COMMON TRANSLATIONS the numbers in the OT are not rendered correct, since the word "ALUF" meaning, captain, a military rank, is rendered "ELEF", a thousand... thats why at some places those weird big numbers (falsely) appear in tanakh. remember israel was always the smallest people, even today some israeli men are hardly 5ft tall, yet have profound significance as proved in this blog.
so actually it might not have been half a million folks at the exodus, only a couple thousands... so its very reasonable these people had enough manna and birds they could eat from in the desert. how can a million people and animals be satisfied by a single oasis with 12 pools of water and 70 palm trees ? a million nomads in one spot is a great logistical challenge. just ask your uncle who is in the marine corps.. its close to impossible to provide for so many people in a single camp and keep up the hygiene and have enough water.
now the israelites moved around the southern tip and tried to move further along the coast north-eastward, passed by migdol (watchtower, egyptian outpost), and then realized there was no other place to go. behind them pharaos army. right side the sea, left side and ahead only unaccessible mountains. check out the place on google earth. this was supposedly a perfect trap... these israelites never had read the "babel" and learned about how moses parted the red sea. so they thought this was it, we´re gonna die... then they even had to return a few miles with their entire trek. and set up yet another camp... now only the pillar of smoke separated them from pharaos army... and then it happened...
the unthinkable happens.... a strong wind comes up and blows for several hours, until a land bridge appears, formerly covered by some meters of water, that were blown away... now the israelites can move into the sea, and the cloud moves behind them... note: today at the straight of tiran the maximum depth is 240meters on the western edge where the shipping canal is.. but we dont know wether the sea floor changed, probly there was seismic activity.. anyway this place is THE ONLY place that makes sense. theres another crossing further north proposed by some scientists but the landbridge there is still 800meters deep at some point, so we can rule that one out. the crossing at tiran makes perfect sense, apart from that 1 crevice, all the rest is almost as flat as a soccer field. check with google earth, it shows you the underwater geography !
all these pictures are taken from the website www.bible.ca... where its explained even in further detail.
here we can see an overview of all the encampments mentioned in exodus and numbers 33..i dont know if i agree with them all yet.but that dont matter.
all the topography and the place names like "baal zaphon" or the "mouth" the pi-hahirot make perfect sense... its impossible that mt sinai is where today st.catherines monastery is located.
the distances and travel speed also make perfect sense.
but the most important piece of evidence is in galatians 4, it says explicitely that mt.sinai is in arabia. and even wikipedia and every other bible map explains that midian, where jethro, the priest of midian lived, the father of moses wife ziporah and his son gershom, is on the right side of the gulf of aqaba.
so this is where the actual exodus and crossing of the sea hapened. near todays sharm-el-sheik... then as the israelites had crossed over to the other continent, g-d took the pillar of clouds away and instead the wind ceased, the waters flowed back and the egyptians were washed off the landbridge with their sturdy chariots (each ridden by 3 people, a shield-bearer an archer and the guy who steered the horses). and were now drowned in the water... we can clearly see divine vengence at work, exactly as written in proverbs, whoever digs a pit shall fall therein himself. because of this "ot" or sign, moses had to do everything exactly as told him, so that future generations could understand all the implications. like moses the man 80 yrs before was drawn out of the nile by pharaos daughter, the whole hebrew nation was now again drawn out of the water, while the egyptians who had tried to drown the babies, were now drowned themselves.
now was the time where miriam took out her timbrel and danced and sang her song, because now they were on ANOTHER CONTINENT, beyond the reach of egyptian power and finally had relief.
now then after a couple weeks and couple more camps and testings, the israelites came to the mount of g-d, the horeb, where they were about to receive the law in tablets, and moses would go up into the mount, that would quake with fire, and the people were scared and forbidden to enter the mount...(but of course the obstinate jews they were, they tried to enter the mount anway...LOL)
we can see theres some seismic activity in the area, so the quaking mount might have been a permanent thunderstorm of lightnings, or a volcano. theres defo plate tectonics going on in the area, so a flaming mountain with fire is defo possible.
nobody is allowed to visit djebel-al-lawz as of today, its a military zone without acces.. the wikipedia page has less than 5 languages, and hebrew is not among them.
in every single bible on the planet and every historic atlas it clearly shows that midian is the northwest tip of the huge arabian peninsula, and has nothing to do with what we today call the sinai peninsula.
jethro is just another name for reuel.. its common that sometimes the same people are called by different names in tanakh.
now theres some people travelling to that place to find a cleft rock, where supposedly the water gushed out, when moses struck it with his rod, when they had nothing to drink...and other weird stuff...but christian tourism as of now is forbidden in saudi-arabia. so theres not gonna be a big biblethemepark anytime soon.
this is the wrong route, its too far north, how can a 800m deep trench be bridged.
the supposed chariot wheel that people found there might as well be something completely different, probly a steering wheel from a ship or some other debris from a sunken ship.
wikipedia page for the fake mt. sinai translated to 65 languages. wikipedia page for the real one, less than 5 languages, and not even a hebrew one ! so the people who are the most proud of their "LAWZ" and dont wanna give up their LAWZ can as of now not even visit the place their LAWZ came from.. i should translate that page to hebrew, so at least theres 1 useful wikipedia page on the internet...
we can see everywhere where formerly holy things happend, are later usurped by the denyer, where he puts on his loony show for his minions.. where formerly the crossing happened today 30km of arab hotels line the coast around sharm-el-sheik with year-round tourists spending their holidays, who think they deserve good vacations but complain when israelis just have one tiny redsea village (eilat), without even asking for more land... then the pilots of their airplanes have to align their aircraft to mecca in the morning so they can say their allah-akbar prayers to the mighty mouse, and for their awesome jew-government... this is surreal !
the funnyest thing is they now complain about israel and jews and claim all the things that happened were merely a part of their own religion, that surpassed and usurped the old hebrew events. now thats chutzpa !
check it out on CIA world factbook or wikipedia, saudi arabia has a GDP anually of 26K $. thats not quite european level, but not bad either.theres many poor migrant workers in the gulf states from asia, and of course the very rich who live luxurious lifestyles on oil exports...so now we located the REAL mt. horeb.. this means the wilderness wanderings were spent on the arabian peninsula... no doubt the israelites had lots of time to travel around for the following 40 years in the endless desert, so who knows what really happened at the place where today macca and medina are located that jews and notzrim (christians) are forbidden to visit. probly somebody wants to hide something there ? just being curious....
